Research on the effect of Agri-Gro on watermelon production


Key Results:
• 15.63% increase in total tons per acre
• 16% increase in number of fruit

 

Treatments:
Agri-Gro added to control plot of 500 lbs/acre 15-15-15 plus 40 lb. nitrogen (growers standard
fertilizer and crop protection program)


Application:
1 oz./gallon in transplant water; 3 - 32 oz. foliar applications


Conclusions:
The greatest difference was in total fruit numbers and weight with 243 more fruit and 2.97
tons more yield per acre from the application of Agri-Gro.

Conclusions:
Agri-Gro fields had more tolerance to virosis. Melons had better size and quality for export.
