1994

KEY RESULTS:

  • 6 Bu/acre yield increase
  • $20.44/acre more profit
  • Lower input costs

Treatments: Control plot (grower's standard fertilizer and crop protection program); Agri-Gro plot (15% reduction in N. 33% reduction in P & K from control plot, 50% reduction on all other crop protection inputs)

Application: 1 in furrow, 1 soil applied broadcast, 1 foliar application

Conclusions: The Agri-Gro plot with reduced rate of fertilizer out yielded the control plot. The Agri-Gro plot had a larger root system and also reached maturity sooner than the control plot.

New Madrid County, MO
1995

KEY RESULTS:

  • 13 Bu/acre yield increase
  • $42.31/acre more profit
  • Lower input costs

Treatments: Control plot (grower's standard fertilizer and crop protection program); Agri-Gro plot (15% reduction in N. 33% reduction in P & K from control plot, 50% reduction on all other crop protection inputs)

Application: 1 in furrow, 1 soil applied broadcast, 1 foliar application

Conclusions: The treated plot again outperformed the control plot for the 2nd year. This was accomplished with a reduced rate of fertilizer. There was no difference in insect or weed pressure and the treated plot again matured earlier.

Location:
Test Year:

Aycock Agricultural Services, Inc.
New Madrid County, MO
1996

KEY RESULTS:

  • 12 Bu/acre yield increase
  • $38.67/acre more profit
  • Lower input costs

Treatments: Control plot (grower's standard fertilizer and crop protection program); Agri-Gro plot (15% reduction in N. 33% reduction in P & K from control plot, 50% reduction on all other crop protection inputs)

Application: 1 in furrow, 1 soil applied broadcast, 1 foliar application

Conclusions: The treated plot with less fertilizer out yielded the control plot by 12 Bu/acre. There was no difference in insect or week pressure. The treated plot matured earlier which is consistent with the 1994 & 1995 findings.

Aycock Agricultural Services, Inc.
New Madrid County, MO
1997

KEY RESULTS:

  • 6 Bu/acre yield increase
  • $21.17/acre more profit
  • Lower input costs

Treatments: Control plot (grower's standard fertilizer and crop protection program); Agri-Gro plot (15% reduction in N. 33% reduction in P & K from control plot, 50% reduction on all other crop protection inputs)

Application: 1 in furrow, 1 soil applied broadcast, 1 foliar application

Conclusions: The treated plot again showed an improvement in yield and the overall profitability for growers.

Researcher:

Location:
Test Year:

Aycock Agricultural Services, Inc.
New Madrid County, MO
1998

KEY RESULTS:

  • 8 Bu/acre yield increase
  • $19.56/acre more profit
  • Lower input costs

Treatments: Control plot (grower's standard fertilizer and crop protection program); Agri-Gro plot (15% reduction in N. 33% reduction in P & K from control plot, 50% reduction on all other crop protection inputs)

Application: 1 in furrow, 1 soil applied broadcast, 1 foliar application

Conclusions: For the 5th consecutive year the Agri-Gro plot yielded higher with less fertilizer than the control plot. These results translate into higher profits for the grower.
