All trees were fertilized equally
according to Auburn University recommendations both
years. All trees were watered using drip irrigation.
Treated trees received injections
from the Guin Tree Feeder during August and
December of 2001 and during April and September of 2002.
Materials used in the injections
over the two years included Agri-Gro®,
air, water, plant food and Carbon Booster™.
The treated areas resulted in an
83% increase in pecan production while
the standard practice showed a
20% decrease in production for the same time
period. |

What is the Guin Tree Feeder and How Does it Work?
The Guin Tree Feeder is a revolutionary machine
originally designed to fertilize trees and shrubs. This patented feeder
accurately measures the amount of nutrients to be used and injected into
the soil with water and air. It has been proven to be a superior tool to
properly care for the feeding and saving of trees and shrubs throughout
the United States.
The Guin Tree Feeder uses compressed air to loosen the
soil, then uses another blast of compressed air to "blow in" the desired
nutrients. The initial blast of air loosens the soil from around the
feeder roots providing optimal aeration. This aeration also supplies the
feeder roots nitrogen. The desired liquid nutrients are then "blown in"
throughout the feeder root system. Since the nutrients are in a liquid
form instead of granular, they are readily available to the tree and can
be absorbed by the tree almost immediately.
Whether you are a commercial grower, grow and maintain
trees on your own property, or you plant trees to beautify the streets
of your city, University campus or industrial site, the Guin Tree Feeder
system can help optimize your efforts. This system has been inspected
and tested by leading Universities on their campuses and in a laboratory
environment, with great success. It is used by commercial orchards
(pecans, oranges, etc.), to optimize production.
The Guin Tree Feeder is easy to use. It precisely
measures the amount of nutrients to be dispensed for each shot. The
number of shots for each tree is scientifically calculated. The shots
can be evenly spaced within the drip line of the tree.
The Guin Tree Feeder can also perform foliage feeding on
trees, shrubs, and even lawns. This feeding is done by spraying
nutrients over the plants in need. A unique high-powered sprayer located
on the Tree Feeder is used for a quick, convenient spraying and reaching
those hard to reach areas, including the tops of trees and their leaves.
There are five key research findings that increase water
absorption of the trees. They are:
-
Young Root Life, Lack of Oxygen causes roots to die
in hours.
-
Lack of Oxygen leads to acidic acid, and carbon
dioxide build-up causing medium sized roots to die. This shuts down
the tree for weeks.
-
When there is no Oxygen in the soil, active
absorption by the root zone stops. You have to have oxygen
immediately adjacent to the roots in order for water to get in.
Everything that a tree uses, except light and carbon dioxide has to
come through the roots.
-
Hormone Deficiencies. Lack of a good root system
shuts down the hormone system.
-
Salt Toxicity magnified. Salt becomes four times
more toxic when there is no oxygen.
Fortunately, the Guin Tree Feeder will increase water
absorption by dealing with all five of the above points. |
