KEY RESULTS:

  • Every lot treated with Agri-Gro® produced more exportable boxes/hectare than the control plot.
  • Averaged 179.5 more exportable boxes/hectare over
    the control lots.

pineapple productionTreatments: Research was conducted at Venecia, San Carlos province of Costa Rica. 5 lots were treated with Agri-Gro®. Five lots were left untreated as a control.

The Golden variety was used for the trials and all inputs outside of Agri-Gro® were the same for each lot.

  • 40.78% more exportable boxes comparing average of
    every section treated to check plot. 1802 more boxes/Ha.
  • 41.30% more exportable boxes comparing average of the same plant weight sections at forcing. 1825 more boxes/Ha.
  • Weight ratio of all treated sections were higher than the control plot and averaged a 28.95% increase.
  • Average additional net profit of $14,276 per hectare,
    (based on $8.00* per box of exportable pineapples and
    Agri-Gro application of $140/hectare.)
  • 10,000% return on investment!

Treatments: Research was conducted at a prominent farm in Sarapiqui, Heredia province of Costa Rica. 14 sections were treated with Agri-Gro® at various planting dates from April to June. One section was left untreated as a control. The variety and all inputs outside of Agri-Gro® were the same for each section. The plant weight at forcing varied from 4.05 lbs to 6.17lbs with the control section plant weight at 5.59 lbs. 12 liters of Agri-Gro® per hectare were applied during the course of the fertilization cycle.
